‘Uncontracted’ Lee Myung-gi – Kwon Hee-dong, in front of breaking up with NC “Give other players a chance”

It seems that the NC Dinos’ internal FA, which was poured out, has entered the finishing stage to some extent. It is expected that two of the seven players will eventually remain on the team.

An NC official told Star News on the 12th, “We are still talking with Lee Jae-hak (32), and we have not proposed to Lee Myung-gi (35) and Kwon Hee-dong (32).”

In this Stove League, NC came out with 7 internal free agents. Among them, the future of four people was decided relatively quickly. Pitcher Won Jong-hyeon (35) moved to Kiwoom Heroes with the first contract, followed by catcher Yang Eui-ji (35) and infielder Noh Jin-hyuk (33), respectively, with Doosan Bears and Lotte Giants.

NC, which lost three of its internal resources, let infielder Park Min-woo (29), who along with Yang Eui-ji, be the player to catch in this transfer market, sign a contract worth 14 billion won for up to 8 years. Then, even in the empty room, Park Se-hyeok (32) was recruited from Doosan to put out the urgent fire.

However, after Park Se-hyuk’s contract, NC’s FA timeline has stopped. Jaehak Lee, Myeonggi Lee, and Heedong Kwon are still unable to find their team. While they couldn’t decide on their destination, only one free agent contract was signed with Kim Jin-seong (LG) in December, which was 13 in November alone.

Among them, Lee Jae-hak is likely to remain on the team. Joining as a founding member of NC through the second draft, he laid the groundwork for NC by winning double-digit multipliers five times. In the 2022 season, his pitching 토토사이트 was somewhat shaky (5.34 walks per 9 innings), but he showed hope by recording a relatively low batting average of 0.224.

However, Lee Myeong-gi and Kwon Hee-dong’s situation is not good. The crisis of the two players already began with the violation of the Corona 19 quarantine rules that occurred last summer. Both were suspended for 97 games (KBO 72 + NC 25).

While they are being disciplined, NC recruited national team outfielders Park Kun-woo (32) and Son Ah-seop (34) ahead of the 2022 season. As foreign players were brought to Nick Martini (32), an outfield resource, the positions of Lee Myung-gi and Kwon Hee-dong were shaken.

Lee Myung-ki had a batting average of 0.260, 0 home runs, 23 RBIs, OPS of 0.648 in 94 games this year, and Kwon Hee-dong had a batting average of 0.227, 5 home runs, 22 RBIs, and an OPS of 0.654 in 82 games. He showed a sluggish performance compared to previous years as he did not properly prepare for the season.

Next season, NC is expected to add outfield resources. Founding member Kim Seong-wook (29), who was discharged from Sangmu, is returning after elbow surgery rehabilitation. Here, Jason Martin (27), the Triple A home run champion this year, wears an NC uniform. Oh Jang-han (20), who topped the Futures League in home runs (17 homers), is also expected to get a chance in the first team next year.

An NC official also said, “Currently, we believe that other existing players should be given a chance,” while adding the premise that “of course, the situation can change.”

Lee Myung-gi has a fine bat with a career batting average of 0.307, and the fact that he is a C-class player with no compensation players is an advantage, but his age is a stumbling block. Kwon Hee-dong showed an activity like Altoran to the extent that he was evaluated as “a player who knows baseball” even within the club. Although he is relatively young, the bad news is that he is a B-class player who has to give one player outside of the 25-man protected roster.

Lee Myung-ki and Kwon Hee-dong, who were delayed by a year due to a momentary mistake, are facing a cold winter with team circumstances overlapping to make matters worse. Which team will be holding them?
