Super agent Jorge Mendes has revealed that he still has good feelings for Cristiano Ronaldo (Alnasr) despite their recent business split.

According to a report by British media outlet The Daily Mail on Sept. 30 (KST), Mendes recently told reporters, “We remain close in private. 안전놀이터 Ronaldo is a special player for me. He’s also special as a human being,” Mendes said, expressing his fondness for Ronaldo.

Mendes has been Ronaldo’s agent for many years. Mendes has been with Ronaldo from the time he was a promising young player in Portugal to the time he became one of the best players in the world. The relationship was so close that Ronaldo reportedly gave Mendes an island in Greece as a wedding gift.

They have now parted ways as agents. The pair parted ways last year after disagreements over Ronaldo’s departure from Manchester United. Mendes was unable to secure the move to the UEFA Champions League (UCL) that Ronaldo wanted. Mendes also reportedly took a negative stance on an interview in which Ronaldo publicly criticized United ahead of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The subsequent move to Saudi Arabian Professional League side Al-Nasr was handled by Ronaldo’s friend and personal manager, Ricardo Hegule, who acted as his agent.
