(By Kyuwon Lee, MHN Sports) Suwon FC Womin of the Women’s Unemployment Football WK League has won its 10th consecutive league title and reached 30 points after defeating Incheon Hyundai Steel, which is seeking its 11th consecutive title.
Suwon FC won 2-1 away from home against Hyundai Steel in the 17th round of the Hyundai Steel 2023 WK League at Incheon Namdong Stadium on the 13th.
Suwon FC took a one-goal lead in the 21st minute of the second half when Moon Mi-ra, who received a pass from Korean women’s soccer icon Ji So-yeon on the left flank, struck a surprise mid-range shot from the corner of the penalty area into the center of the box.
Mebae added another goal 20 minutes 스포츠토토 later to make it 2-0, and despite conceding a goal in stoppage time through Jung Seol-bin, Suwon FC held on for the win.
With the win, Suwon FC (9 wins, 3 draws, 5 losses – 30 points) moved into third place, behind Hwacheon KSPO (36 points) and Hyundai Steel (32 points).
On the other hand, Hyundai Steel (10 W, 2 D), which has won 10 games in a row and is looking for its 11th consecutive victory, was hoping to regain the lead at the top of the table, but suffered its fifth defeat of the season and remained in second place.
Leaders KSPO beat Changnyeong WFC 1-0 away from home thanks to Choi Ji-na’s 37th-minute winner to extend their lead over Hyundai to four points.
Sejong Sportoto also defeated Mungyeong Sangmu 3-0 away from home.
Gyeongju Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power played out a goalless draw at home against Seoul City Hall.
